I wrote about some of the specifics of the gadget directories and how they work before, but then Google changed everything. 
There are definite relevancy problems with the gadget directory search function. I have highlighted these problems to the Google gadget team at Google.

I&#039;m wondering if you can write a bit about the sorting or ranking process at Google Gadgets. I put up a gadget called &#039;virtual weight loss&#039;  a couple of weeks ago and although i see it already has about 400 users, it still sits unseen in last place -- behind all your damn virtual pets ;-)
How soon might my gadget move up the ladder and take it&#039;s rightful place above some of your less used virtual pets?
