FaceBook at the Widget Summit
Hi. I just wanted to put out that I will be discussing FaceBook and their presence at the Widget Summit 2007. I have to co-ordinate a few mails before I do a huge post, but just for the curious here are the sessions about Facebook and a blurb about each…
On the Facebook Application front, there were three sessions.
This session outlined Facebook apps and their potential and then went quickly into an absolutely great Q and A, where I picked the very cool R. Tyler Ballances’ mind on a few things that many of you will like if you are using the Sphinn Facebook App and are looking forward to more functionality. Ballance is involved with Slide, and is the author of their Top Friends App. There are slides up now from his presentation, or you can also find them on his blog.
Dave Fetterman of Facebook was very informative and made some really great points that really made me think. Dave is the creator and lead engineer of the Facebook developers platform. One thing in particular I am looking forward to discussing (hopefully with Dave) is the privacy options, and how they are a huge huge plus, more on that later.
A panel discussion that I have a few comments on, that I won’t go into yet, but will get out there eventually.

I hope to contact some of the presenter and talk in more detail about some of the very neat things that were put out.
