One of the worse chores in local SEO is ensuring that the information displayed about your business or location is accurate across several platforms. This is particularly challenging if you have several locations. If you have hundreds or thousands of locations it truly becomes a nightmare.
Incorrect or outdated data in the local databases of Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yelp, Superpages, Yellowpages, etc. costs your business leads, customers, and income.
Getlisted Enterprise is a local search analysis tool which solves this problem (click the image to see more detail) by allowing you to upload an excel sheet of your business locations (and their phone numbers, URLs, addresses, etc.) and compares the data that you provide with what is out there on the web.
An overall accuracy summary of how your business locations are represented on the web can be quite an eye opener. In initial testing of some brands and partners displayed inaccurate listings to be in the 20-40 percentile range.
For business decision makers, it is hard to know how much time and money to budget for local SEM if you do not know the extent of the problem. On the flip side, businesses and internet marketing firms who service large clients or who pitch to large clients can really get the point across to their clients / potential clients by providing such a report.
The reporting is quite robust, and will tell you individually by business or platform what is wrong with your listings.

This summary tells you at a glance about how your collection of business/locations are represented in each platform.
- Percentage of listings that were found
- Percentage of listings that are accurate / inaccurate
- Percentage of possible duplicate listings
This summary also displays “action items”…
- Number of Listings Not Found
- Number of Inaccurate Business Titles
- Number of Inaccurate Addresses
- Number of Inaccurate City-State-ZIPs
- Number of Inaccurate Phone Numbers
The percentages and the action items all link to a more detailed report that identifies the problem/problems found and highlighted ( click image to see details).
These reports can be displayed and interacted with by location or by platform.
The enterprise tool is designed to be used by companies with many locations or those who service such companies.
It was made in partnership between GetListed.org and UniversalBusinessListing.org who specialize in the submission and dissemination of business information to search engines, data providers, and mobile directories.
The tool is currently in private beta, but will soon be available in a public beta.

The enterprise edition seems like it has the EXACT features I’m looking for right now. I have a client with 150+ US locations and I’m working with UBL to do the mass update next week. Sure would be cool to do a before and after snapshot of what the Enterprise feature shows before and after

Sounds absolutely brilliant to me – we have a number of clients who are small local-reach businesses, and keeping their local search data updated can be a real nightmare (especially if they have registered for several profiles before becoming clients).

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
