Google Gadget API Group Appoints Gurus

Gadget iconOften in Google groups there are several stand out individuals who spend alot of time leaving great feedback, answering questions, and they rarely, if ever get credit.

So when I saw that the Google group for gadget developers announced that 6 regulars are now called “Gurus” I was impressed. Basically it is just a nod, but a nice nod for Google to give…

Gadget Gurus are
easily recognizable in the group. Simply look for the word ‘(Guru)’ at
the end of their name. Gurus will also periodically receive schwag
from Google as a sign of thanks.

Gurus will continue to post normally in the group, but are now
officially noted for their excellent contributions. The gurus were
selected based on their eagerness to participate in the group and
their advanced knowledge of the API.

The newly appointed Gurus are:

* Justin
* Bonstio
* Vision Jinx
* abowman
* dont.spam.on.me.mt1…@gmail.com
* Matt
* Jerome

Congrats to the new Gurus, and nice job Google for giving out some well deserved credit.

For those who do not know about Google groups, they are forums where Google employees monitor conversations and often interact. The Google Gadget API group is the place to ask questions, or browse for information about creating Google gadgets. A general suggestion though for new visitors to the group, before asking a question, use the search box at the upper right hand of the screen to see if similar questions have already been answered.
