Help Google Help You – the Google webmaster guidelines

June 30, 2007 · 3 comments

A couple things about the Google webmaster guidelines…
First off, Matt Cutts is asking for comments on how to improve the help documentation supporting the guidelines. Leave suggestions in the comments of his blog, or on the thread at Google webmaster help group about how to improve Google help documentation. There have been some great suggestions put up. This is a great opportunity to request clarification from Google on a subject you care about.

Secondly…I can explain the Google guidelines in two minutes!

Okay, I am updating Feedthebot with videos. I will be doing a quick description of each guideline on video for those who don’t want to, er…read.

The first video is a quick description of what the Google guidelines are and why there they are just so gosh darn important.

Jesus Christ your eyes are sparkling and blue. I really like it when you smile at obviously unfunny moments, as if the hot woman that’s filming you just flashed her boobs. Or something like that.

Hey Alex, how is it going? Alot has changed since we last talked (like the whole “me living in a different country” thing)
Good to hear from you, I have been thinking about Biko and it’s residents. I will be getting in touch soon. Take care.

Hi

That really makes a lot of sense :-)

People are spending large sums of cash to try to get higher rankings, when they would get better results simply by following these guidelines.

Thanks for making that post and video.
