iGoogle and Google Gadgets Layout Testing

January 10, 2008 · 0 comments

iGoogle tabs and the Google gadget titles are sometimes being aligned to the right instead of the left. This is a minor tweak but it totally confused my eyes when I first saw it but it does seem to make more sense for Google. The “hot spots” (where people seem to click the most) of a page are the upper left side.

With this new iGoogle layout, guess what?

The two actions that get users to personalize their page (a stated goal of Google’s) end up being in the “hot zone” for clicks….

I have only seen this a few times, I can not always recreate it, but here is a fuller screen shot…

Interesting to me, but probably not to interesting to many others :) I know. Fear not, I have some great things coming up in the next few days.
