The Google Webmaster Guidelines Get A Major Update

June 5, 2007 · 4 comments

Matt announces the update to the Google webmaster guidelines. They are truly improved and more descriptive. I will have alot of work to do on Feedthebot now. From the quick little peeks I have been able to give to the new beefier Google Guidelines, they seem to rock. As a self described Google guideline geek, I am glad to see this happen.

Heh. Too much drinking + New Webmaster Guidelines. It’s going to be a long week :-) . They’re working on making you obsolete, lol.

It was funny how you asked the day before he announced the update why they weren’t more detailed and the next day, they were more detailed. Must be nice to have Google carry out your wishes so quickly.

True, that’s a lot of work to do. Most bloggers just copied the UL element :( If you comment on all details, you’ll write the book on best practices of Web development ;) When I did my first take post, it was hard not to babble all night long, especially about the dupes page.
