We No Longer Build Pages
Rhea, Lisa and myself have decided to leave We Build Pages.
All three of us will be working on private projects that we plan to announce to the world very soon. We’re also open to hearing about new opportunities, so if you’ve been secretly waiting to work with us, now’s a very good time to reach out and catch up.
We heart Jim Boykin and we wish him and We Build Pages the best of luck in their future ventures. That said, Rhea, Lisa and myself are now open for business opportunities independently.

I’m sure you all will do v.well. I’m assuming from what you wrote, Patrick, that there will be 3 separate new projects and you’re not all doing one together. Just thought I’d ask.

Very best of luck guys – go build new pages.

Barry – yes, personal projects. There’s some overlap, but nothing we planned ahead of time. Jim’s got one of the biggest hearts in the industry and it was great getting to know him and the team.

Best of luck you three!
I’m looking forward to seeing what you guys are working on
January 21st, 2009 at 7:44 pm
Well, that was quick. I hope things are OK with Jim and We Build Pages.
You guys all rock – I’m sure you’ll do fine. Eager to hear about your new projects.

What I want to know is who is and isn’t buying links anymore? There’s a story to be told here, I know it!

Man it is hard to keep up with you guys. All the best with your future projects, you are 3 awesome people.

That is the problem with being a boss in this industry there are just way too many tempting opportunities in this field. Poor Jim to lose so much talent at once.

“Barry – yes, personal projects. There’s some overlap, but nothing we planned ahead of time.”
So, you all left today, have personal projects with “some overlap”, but nothing that you planned ahead of time. That sounds logical.
Good luck with your new company!

Certainly a surprise considering the timing and short tenures at WBP. Confident that the three of you have great success wherever you land or whatever you launch!

I must be living under a rock – I just heard. Congrats and best wishes!
February 9th, 2009 at 8:58 am
I’m actually living on a rock but it’s near the equator and it takes a long time to get the internet here. Would you believe…..?
Best wishes, your a force to be reckoned with. If you have any needs or ideas for this part of the world, let me know.

This is not surprising in the least. Jim’s previous strategy of just buying under the radar links had been blasted by Google and Jim sought to hire some young guns to transition the company into a white hat SEO organization, but I’m betting they lost too many clients when they stopped buying links.

Best of luck to the three of you for your new ventures. You’ve confirmed how much turn-over this industry has! Are you still going to be taking on clients, or are you guys focusing on building money sites instead?
